The Meeting the Future Leaders of Bermuda Networking event has received a tremendous shot in the arm after the Association of Bermuda International Companies came on board as the lead sponsor.
Students from Bermuda’s two senior schools will get a chance to showcase their computer and research skills and network with key businesspersons and potential employers at this stellar event to be held at the Bermuda National Gallery on Monday March 29th.
The students who attend both Berkeley Institute and CedarBridge Academy have all successfully completed the Bermuda Technology Education Collaborative’s curriculum.
And this event will allow the students to derive the benefit of meeting the key decision makers within the business community and also learn about potential scholarships and training opportunities that companies may have to offer.
The students will be armed with their resumes and business cards and a few of the students have prepared presentations on the computer to underscore their level of proficiency.
David Ezekiel president of the ABIC said: “We were approached by Nancy Volesky who chairs the Business Technology Division Committee of the Chamber of Commerce. When she explained the concept to us we were more than willing to assist.
“Our organization is already active in supporting the education and career development goals of students, through the ICEA scholarship program and we are pleased to have a further opportunity to encourage our students.
“This event is unique, as members of ABIC along with other members of the Bermuda business community, will personally meet with and encourage Bermuda’s future leaders to discuss their aspirations and give guidance where we can.”
